When you’re hard on yourself
you become harder on others
the art of listening
being key to seduction.
Every time I need you
you’re not there
I could not make myself
happy alone.
No life of the mind
without putting your heart into it
I’m only content when I know
I can get what I want.
I dreamed up these rewards
to keep myself from waking
these pleasant trances
sustain me…
…a blueprint for the architecture
of this lustrous illusion
such intelligent design
proves I only think
…I am dreaming.
